Don’t Panic! Even if your computer has been infected, don’t panic! Don’t start deleting files or making changes unless you are sure about what you’re doing. Otherwise you could cause even more damage to your system

And last, but certainly not least, be sure to back up your important files on a regular basis (to CD-ROM, another hard drive, or a floppy disk), just in case your system gets corrupted. That way your files can be restored.
