Natalie JonesWhat Does My Public Library Mean To Me?
by Natalie Rachel Jones
age 9, Smyrna

The library is very important to me.

Why, you say?  Well I’ll tell you.  I love to READ!  When I pick up a book, the book must do something like letting me through an invisible door.  My “dreamland twin” stands up tall on tiptoes and peeks over a wall.  My twin gasps and starts to climb.  Suddenly, the book comes alive on the other side; I see the characters clearly.

Another thing I like about the library is that it is so quiet.  That makes it easier to read any book I choose.  Sometimes, I read poetry.  Here’s a piece I did:

Love, the Library
Itch, for the Library
Bike, to the Library
Read, at the Library
Adventure, in the Library
Rally, for the Library
YOU, should go to the Library.

I Love The Library!
