The Linebaugh Library is an exciting place that contains several books current events, historical events, scientific facts, and more. The library is opened to the general public. The library is open Monday through Friday and on week-ends. Our library is centrally located in Murfreesboro. It is "uptown" and easily found. When my granddaughter was first approached about drugs and alcohol, she was a fifth grade student, I took her to the library and together we checked out books about peer pressure and the effects of drugs and alcohol on the body. All of my children used the library during their school years frequently. The library has books for children at all ages. My girlfriend used books at the library to tell her daughter about her adoption. I am seventy-five years old and I have been taking my children and grandchildren to the library for many years. When I returned back to school in 1994 to earn my high school diploma and I used the library to do my research and academic papers! I only needed two credits to graduate and during this year I spent a lot of time at the library completing my assignments. In 1995 I graduated from Rutherford County Adult Education school with a 3.5 GPA. The staffs at the library are very helpful with helping me find books, educating me on how the books are arranged on the shelves, how to use the card catalog and the different things that are available in the library. Even if I do not win I would like to take time thank who ever is responsible for organizing and putting this contests together. Reading a book can bring so many situations alive!
