Kelle WadleyWhat Does My Public Library Mean To Me?
by Kelle Wadley
age 15, Murfreesboro

The public library is not just a place to get on the computer and check out books.  It is a place where anyone of age can receive more knowledge and make a connection while doing so.  My public library has a helpful staff and learning environment that can be beneficial to any and everyone.  If there was something they could ever do for you, I know they would do their best to help.  I am happy to say that the library has always been my home, my refuge, from the outside world.  Nothing good or bad may enter my fortress of solitude.  When I sit down and open a book, I go into someone else’s world.  It makes me feel so comfortable to be around mountains of words that have a meaning and around people that do too.  The library is such a huge part of the community in Murfreesboro.  Special events and functions are held there every year, month, week, or day to bring everyone together as one.  Without it we all would not be complete.  They offer so much to the ones who are willing to take what is given.  For their tremendous generosity and hard work, I give them my appreciation and thanks.  I am proud to call Linebaugh Public Library my public library!
