Registration for Summer
Story Times begins on May 10.
You must
register in person in the Children's Library. Please choose one
four-week session in June or July:
2-year-olds - Tuesdays at 9 or 10 a.m.
3-year-olds - Wednesdays at 10 or 11 a.m.
age 4 and up - Thursdays at 10 or 11 a.m.
Summer Reading Program
Make a splash this summer - read! Our annual
Summer Reading Program runs June 1 - July 23. All ages -- from toddlers
to adults -- are invited to read books and earn rewards! Plus we'll host
lots of
free special events, including story-tellers, singers, magicians, animal
visits, craft workshops, and many other surprises. We also have a
reading program just for teens.
Gaming @ the Library
From August 2009 through Summer 2010, Linebaugh and Smyrna Libraries will offer
a series of gaming programs geared for teens (ages 12-18), seniors (ages 55 and
older) and families (all ages). These programs are being presented in
partnership with the Rutherford County YMCA and the Smyrna Senior Center, with
assistance from our Teen Advisory Board.
Our next program will be: All-Ages Gaming -
July 17, 12:30-4:30 p.m., all ages. Try out the new Lego Harry Potter!

Homeschoolers @ Linebaugh Library
Homeschoolers @ Linebaugh Library (H.A.L.L.) is open to all homeschoolers, their
siblings, and their parents. Join us at 2 p.m. on the last Monday of each month
for Show and Tell, followed by board games. Each child should bring something to
show to the group; families are welcome to bring board games to share. All ages

Teen Tuesdays
The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is now
sponsoring Teen Tuesdays. Teens are invited to come to the library on Tuesdays,
4:30-6:30 p.m., for a different activity each week. Programs this summer
include workshops on drawing, writing, and making comic books, plus Wii gaming,
a discussion of the book Hunger Games. We'll also hold TEENprov and Young
Authors @ Linebaugh Library meetings.
