Summer Reading Program
Make a splash this summer - read! Our annual Summer Reading Program runs June 1 - July 23. All ages -- from toddlers to adults -- are invited to read books and earn rewards! Plus we'll host lots of free special events, including crafts, special visitors, and many other surprises.

Job Skill Classes

Read to Succeed: Adult Literacy program and MGL Library will present a series of Job Skill Classes. These classes will be held 1-3 p.m. every Tuesday. Learn about: job searching in the newspaper and on the Internet, resume writing, interviewing skills, business etiquette, and following up after an interview. These classes are free and open to the public.

Senior Citizen Fellowship

Senior citizens are invited to join us on the first Thursday of each month, noon - 1:30 p.m. Enjoy meeting other seniors for a time of fellowship, speakers, food, and fun. This program is free and open to all seniors. Co-sponsored by Murfreesboro Parks & Recreation.

Bookworms Club

Join us at Patterson Park Community Center, 10-11 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month for the Bookworms Club. Preschool-age children will visit different stations in the center for a yummy snack craft, an art activity, and cuddle time / story time in the MGL Library. GED Classes

MGL Library and Rutherford County Adult Education offers free GED classes. The GED (General Education Development) provides an opportunity to earn a high school equivalency diploma. Classes will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursday, 6-8 p.m. Free childcare and homework assistance will be available for children of participants. Story Time

Join us for Story Time! Story Time is held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday for preschool age children. Activities include story telling, music, and more.
