Winner of our Book Worm Contest!

Miss Leah Winn is the winner of our contest to name MGL's new mascot. His name is Booker T. Bookworm III. The book worm is a plush handmade stuffed animal donated by Trina Pullum of Patterson Center. Leah now has her name in this new book donated to the library. Great job, Leah!

 

Story Time

Join us for Story Time! Story Time is held at at 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. each Tuesday and 10 a.m. each Wednesday for preschool age children. Activities include story telling, music, and more.

 

Tot Watch Story time
MGL now has a story time exclusively for parents of children who are attending morning exercise programs on Thursdays at Patterson Center. The story time is on Thursdays at 9:00am.

 

GED Classes

Come for GED classes every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m.

 

ACT Practice Exam & Score Feedback

We are planning other workshops and practice tests for the ACT test dates in February 2012. We will keep you posted as they get scheduled.

 

Computer Classes

MGL is now offering a structured basic computer skills class. The class is scheduled to be from 5 - 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month. The next class is Tuesday, February 7. This computer class is "AS BASIC AS IT GETS!"  Anyone is encouraged to attend. All ages. FREE.

 

Senior Citizens Monthly Group

The seniors group meets on the first Thursday of every month at MGL. There is also a senior citizens game day on the fourth Thursday of every month, both events start at 12 p.m.
