The 2010 Young Adult Summer Reading Program: Make Waves @ Your Library begins on June 1. You can sign up at Linebaugh Library or Smyrna Library.

The Young Adult Summer Reading Program works the like the regular Summer Reading Program -- except there are special events and prizes just for teens. The Young Adult Summer Reading Program is open to those ages 12 to 18.

At Linebaugh, participants will be given a booklet with a bingo card. Each time you complete a goal, come back to the library to get your card stamped. Once you get 5 spaces stamped (lined up in any direction), you can turn in your booklet to claim your grab bag and you will be entered in our grand prize drawing. The goals include reading Young Adult books (including audio books and graphic novels), and attending teen events, writing reviews (of books, music or DVDs).

At Smyrna, participants will have the option of completing a bingo card, as described above, or reading five books and completing a review slip for each book. All types of books can be included: audio books, e-books, hardcovers, paperbacks, and graphic novels.

Participants who meet their goals will be eligible to claim a grab bag and will be entered into a grand prize drawing. Grab bags will be available after July 15; the grand prize drawing will be held on July 23.
