2011 YA Summer Reading Program
|
|
The 2011 Young Adult Summer Reading Program: You Are Here begins on June 1. You can sign up at Linebaugh Library or Smyrna Library. The Young Adult Summer Reading Program works the like the regular Summer Reading Program -- except there are special events and prizes just for teens. The Young Adult Summer Reading Program is open to those ages 12 to 18. At Linebaugh, participants will receive a passport. Each page in your booklet is a different location with several different fun activities in which to participate. For every event you attend or activity you complete, visit the library to receive a stamp. Once you have acquired 8 stamps, you may turn in your passport to receive a grab bag. Grab bags will be available after July 11. For each stamp, you will also receive a ticket for our grand prize drawing -- a Barnes & Noble Nook! The more stamps you get, the better your chances to win! All passports must be turned in no later than 5 p.m. on July 22. The prize drawing will be at our Teen Luau on July 22. At Smyrna, participants will receive a passport. Earn stamps by reading books, attending programs, or completing other activities. You must get a minimum of 6 stamps to receive a grab bag and be eligible for our prize drawings. Our door prize drawings will take place on July 26. Winners will be notified by phone. Our Grand Prize is a $100.00 Wal-Mart Gift Card. Visit our teen events listings at Linebaugh and youth event listings at Smyrna to find out about our teen activities this Summer.
