Express Yourself @ Your Library 2009 Summer Reading Program
|
|
The 2009 Young Adult Summer Reading Program: Express Yourself @ Your Library begins on June 2. You can sign up at Linebaugh Library or Smyrna Library. The Young Adult Summer Reading Program works the like the regular Summer Reading Program -- except there are special events and prize drawings just for teens. The Young Adult Summer Reading Program is open to those ages 12 to 18. Participants must complete a review slip for each book that is read. All types of books can be included: audio books, e-books, hardcovers, paperbacks, and graphic novels. These slips must be turned in by 4:30 p.m. on each Friday to be entered in the weekly prize drawings. Participants who read five or more books by July 24 will receive a grab bag of goodies from the library. Grab bags will be available after July 14. You will also be entered into the grand prize drawing to be held on July 29. Learn more about our Summer Reading plans by reading our FAQ. And don't miss these teen events: Young Adult Book Discussion Group Yarn Spinners Mono-Printing with Watercolors Zine Workshop Creative Writing Workshop Check out the Summer Reading Program June events schedule and July events schedule for information on other fun events we have planned.
