The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a group of Rutherford County teens who give input to the library about programs and services for teens and volunteer in the Youth Services Department. TAB is the voice for teens in the library. Our mission is to proactively seek out new ideas and projects to improve how Linebaugh Public Library System serves the teen community. For more information, email Linebaugh.TAB@gmail.com.

TAB Activities

Teen TuesdayTeens are invited to come to Linebaugh Public Library on Tuesdays, 4:30-6:30 p.m., for a different activity each week. Refreshments will be provided. Visit our teen events page for details about upcoming activities. Teen events are also held at Smyrna Public Library.

Visit our Young Adult Summer Reading Program page for information about what's happening this summer.

Note: In case of inclement weather, Teen Tuesday may be cancelled. Generally, if local schools are closed for the day, we will cancel Teen Tuesday.

What is the Teen Advisory Board?

TAB consists of 4 to 12 active members who are instrumental in making decisions, planning activities, assisting with fundraising and promotion, and working as volunteers. Want to be considered for a spot on the Board? Please fill out the TAB application.

Please note that you do not have to be a Board member to participate in Teen Tuesday or other TAB-sponsored activities or to volunteer. If you are interested in learning more about TAB or want to receive updates about upcoming teen activities at the library, please fill out our teen contact form.

Smyrna Public Library is also starting its own Teen Advisory Board. Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 4:15 p.m. Visit the Smyrna Library Youth Events page for more information or call 615-459-4884.
